The Blue Trout Grill

The Blue Trout Grill is an American Fare restaurant located in an historic building on Main Street in beautiful downtown Keene, New Hampshire.

Started by Chefs Amy and Ryan Miller, the “Trout” is a tribute to all things foodie.  Amy and Ryan have between them over 35 years in the culinary field and look at the restaurant as a way to bring their passion for food and drink to their guests in warm and hospitable surroundings.

With a full a full time butcher, Kevin, Connors, the Trout hand cuts and trims all of its steaks, fish and poultry and also grinds all of our hamburger meat fresh.

An in house charcuterie program supplies the Trout with it’s own apple wood smoked bacon, smoked ribs, pulled pork, and a variety of handmade sausages like bratwurts, summer sausage, chorizo, breakfast sausage, and sopressata.

With a name like “The Blue Trout” we couldn’t forget about seafood.  We have our seafood brought fresh from Boston fish market three times a week and have built a great relationship with our fishmonger.  This allows us to not only bring in the highest quality seafood but gives us the flexibility to bring in specialty items like Tuna and Lobsters when they are at their peak.

In the summer months, we at the Trout are committed to using locally sourced produce and supporting local agriculture.  We see the value in not only supporting our neighboring farms, but sourcing a quality, organic product that does not have to be transported half-way around the globe.

To have brought our guests amazing food without equally amazing libations would be missing out on half the equation.

Our mixologists have been busy infusing vodkas with everything from lemongrass to tarragon to make our signature house Martinis. For an aperitif we have an extensive selection of single malt Scotches and small batch Bourbons and whiskies.

The only thing that can match Amy and Ryan’s passion for food is wine! The wine list at the Trout has been carefully selected to bring our guest not only value but a  perfect accompaniment to our food. With out focus mainly on wines from the United States we’re not against bringing in those hidden gems from places like Spain and South America. And remember – Ryan is almost always on hand to help make a selection that will pair perfectly with your meal, so don’t be shy because Ryan loves to talk wine!
